Since joining Lawrence Kamin in 2000, John Ruark has represented clients in the securities and futures business, including brokerage firms, money managers and proprietary trading firms. His practice includes regulatory, transactional and
arbitration matters.
In addition to teaching a regulation of securities and commodities professionals class for the Financial Services Law program of the Chicago-Kent College of Law, John has co-authored several publications and articles with Paul Uhlenhop, including: “A Pool Too Big for an FCM or a Broker-Dealer,” Futures & Derivatives Law Report, Volume 22, No. 5, July/August 2002 and SECURITIES LAW, Chpt. 6, Regulation of Broker-Dealers (IICLE, 2001).
John lives on the north side of Chicago with his wife Beth and their two children.
