Paul M. Weltlich has been a practicing attorney with Lawrence Kamin since 1996, after originally joining the firm as a legal assistant in 1988 before receiving his law degree. As an experienced litigator, he has handled and tried cases before federal and state courts, including breach of contract, personal injury and product liability, and has handled securities arbitrations before the National Association of
Securities Dealers.
Paul has a special expertise in employment law, handling matters in court and before state and federal human rights commissions. In 1998, Paul successfully argued Smith v. Sheriff of Cook County, 189 F.3d 529 (7th Cir. 1999), rehearing and rehearing en banc denied, 1999 U.S. App. LEXIS 32583 (1999), setting a standing Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals precedent in sex discrimination cases.
Besides being an accomplished attorney, Paul continues to be passionate about photography, having previously worked as a professional portrait photographer.
